JONATHAN VAN GIESON (Director) is a graduate of Brown Univeristy, where he studied playwriting with Paula Vogel and Shay Youngblood. His second play, MASTER CRIMINALS, was recently read at the Maverick Theater by the Playwrights' Kitchen Ensemble. He wrote the book and lyrics for "BUDDY" CIANCI: the musical (FringeNYC, August 2003,) and he is one of the authors of the BOOK OF AGES series, two books which, though of little consequence, are nontheless amusing enough to be purchased as a birthday gift for friends or loved ones. website
ERIC GREEN (Sound Designer) is an interaction designer and new media artist. With a background in theatrical design, he recently received his masters degree from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program. portfolio
TOM RITCHFORD (Prestidigation Consultant) has been working on magic for over 30 years. As an actor, he's worked with Gorilla Rep and Faux Real Theatre Co, originating the title role in their enduringly popular WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S HAUNTED HOUSE. He's a Senior Software Developer at Netomat, Inc, and founder of editEverything. As a musician, he runs open loop loopNY.com, a weekly live looping show. And he's a principal in Verge, whose show THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE EXPERIMENT will fuse all these interests into one phantasmagoria.
DOV WEINSTEIN (Puppetry Consultant) Dov is best known as the director of Tiny Ninja Theater, which won a FringeNYC Innovation and Originality Excellence Award in 2000 for TINY NINJA THEATER PRESENTS MACBETH. Since its premiere, the show has travelled all over America, and to Germany, Sweden, Prague, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Belfast. TINY NINJA THEATER PRESENTS ROMEO & JULIET, premiered in May 2002 at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, and traveled a similar route around the world. TINY NINJA THEATEDov has studied puppetry with The Green Fools from Alberta, Canada and with Jon Bell and Eric Blanc in New York City.
NASTY CANASTA (Burlesque Consultant) Burlesque baby Nasty Canasta wasn't born nasty, she's just drawn that way. The product of a brief tryst following a late-night card game between Sid Vicious and Lucille Ball, Nasty is old-school glamour at its most surreal. Her burlesque performances celebrate the vagaries of pop culture and the wicked sense of humor that makes it all bearable. Nasty can be found bumping & grinding, turning (magic) tricks, and fending off the advances of lascivious puppets at various unsavory locations throughout Brooklyn and NYC. website
